Requirements on application portal
- You should get your passport photograph digitised using a scanner or a
digital camera.
The acceptable picture format is JPEG (size 200x200 pixels).

Details of three confidential referees must be provided. This must include: Full Name, Rank, Organisation, Email address,
Contact Addresses and Phone number of each referee
Department and Programme
Click on your programme of choice to view minimum requirements and acquaint yourself with other relevant information on your programme
in the Faculty and Department.
Method of Application
Steps:

Using an email address and password of your choice, create an account on the application portal (apply.oaunetque.com). The password created will be mailed to your email account. After creating your application account, click on the form number to continue.

The actual filling of the application form requires 11 steps. Steps 1 and 2 requires selection of the programme and payment for the application form.

An application processing fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15, 000) for regular programmes and Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000) for professional Programmes has to be paid before each application can be processed by the Postgraduate College. You will be required to specify the programme before making the payment. Pay the Application Processing Fee with your ATM card with the (link pay using remita platform) on your application account. You need to provide details of your card number
e.g. 1111222233334444, the card's expiry date e.g. Jan 2010 and the four-digit PIN to make the payment.

Steps 3-11 will only be activated after the required payment has been made. The form template can be viewed below.

You can change the programme of choice in step 1.PG programmes below only if the application for the semester you are applying for is still open and you have not submitted the form online. You can no longer make any changes to your form online if you have submitted. To make any changes at this point, you may need to visit the College for special consideration if possible.

Once payment has been received, complete all sections using the left menu as a guide. Cross-check all the details provided for the
application and then SUBMIT/CLOSE your online application form.
Note: The application process is not complete
until the candidate has signed the "Declaration Section

After you have applied

After submitting your application form, your details will be forwarded to the academic programme of your choice. This begins your admission process. Your form will move through the academic programme, Department’s Postgraduate Committee, Faculty Postgraduate Committee and the Postgraduate College Board. The progress in each of these stages can be monitored by visiting (apply.oaunetque.com)
and clicking on the link Track submitted application form printed in red, till you
are
offered admission.

You may be invited by your Department to participate in an entrance examination prior to your selection for admission by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee.
This requires that you supply functional and correct email address and phone number.

If you have been offered admission, a notification message will be sent to your mail, congratulating you on your admission and asking you to make a payment of 20,000 Naira processing
fee before your admission letter is delivered to your mail.
DOCUMENTATION
Supporting Documents: two (2) sets of
supporting documents including:
- Two (2) Passport Photographs
- Original Transcripts and Photocopies of certificates of all relevant degrees
- Photocopy of Secondary School Learning Certificate (e.g. GCE/NECO/WASC/SSCE/O-Level)
- Photocopy of NYSC Discharge/Exemption Letter (for Nigerians)
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate
- A Proposal of not more than 5 pages for research programmes (MA/M.Sc./M.Phil.; Ph.D.)
and
- Transcript label
Other relevant documents such as change of name, newspaper publication and documents stated in your application are required for the processing of your application.
Without your supporting documents, your application will not be processed.
The documents should be enclosed in two envelopes. The back of the envelopes should be addressed this way:
- Name in Full (Surname, First Name and Middle Name)
- Form Number
- Name of Faculty
- Name of Department
- Programme of Choice
- Semester and Session of Programme
- All enclosed documents should be listed at the back of the envelope

Note: For Non-OAU graduates applying for Ph.D. programme, you are required to process all transcripts of relevant degrees obtained before the present application. This may include: Postgraduate Diploma, First Degree, and Masters/M.Phil transcripts as applicable to you.

Admission requirements for Postgraduate Programmes

OAU First Degree Matriculation Requirements:
In addition to the admission requirements as published, candidates should note that in accordance with the University's regulations, they should satisfy the 'O' Level First degree matriculation requirements of the Obafemi Awolowo University i.e. Five 'O' Level credit passes at not more than two sittings including
English Language for ALL disciplines and Mathematics for ALL Social Science and Science-based disciplines.

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes:
An applicant for admission to Postgraduate Diploma of the University shall be a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University or any other approved University.

Master's Degree Programme:
Applicants shall normally possess not lower than Second Class (Lower Division) Honours degree of the Obafemi
Awolowo University or any other approved University.

Master of Philosophy Degree Programme:
All candidates with previous Master’s Degree are Eligible

Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programme:
Candidates shall normally possess a Master’s Degree with research thesis and a Weighted
Average of not less than 60 per cent (B+) in the course work.
